| Bobsleigh driver, born in Dobbiaco, NE Italy. The winner of a record six Olympic bobsleighing medals, he won golds in the two- and four-man events at the 1968 Games, after winning the silver in both events in 1956, and the bronze in 1964. He was also a member of 11 Italian world championship winning teams between 1957 and 1968. After retiring in 1968, he was appointed manager to the Italian national team. |
