| Aviator, born in Williamsburg, Iowa, USA. He worked as a chauffeur before learning to fly in California in 1909. The next year, he was the first person to fly to and from a warship. An exhibition pilot, he died while attempting a dive at the state fairgrounds, Macon, GA. |
