| Writer, born in Schönbeck on the Elbe, EC Germany. He studied in Leipzig and worked as a journalist in Halle. His realistic style is reflected in the very successful three-part novel, Spur der Steine (1964), which focuses on the individual and the problems of self-realization in a socialist society. He also writes radio plays. |
