| Social worker and juvenile delinquency reformer, born in New York City, USA. A champion of youthful offenders, she worked as a research assistant in criminology for Harvard Law School (1953–64). She was co-director of a long term study on the causes, treatment, and prevention of juvenile delinquency (1929–64), served on the delinquency committee at a White House Conference on Children and Youth (1960), and wrote many articles in conjunction with her husband, Sheldon Glueck. |
