| Expressionist poet, born in St Petersburg, NW Russia. Regarded as the originator of the Swedish–Finnish Modernist movement with her first collection, Dikter (1916, Poems), she contracted tuberculosis at 16 and never fully recovered. Her best-known work is Landet som icke är (The Non-Existent Country), published posthumously in 1925. |
