| Author, born in Little Rock, Arkansas, USA. An aerospace engineer, who turned to full-time writing at the age of 40, he contributed to many popular genres, including science fiction and mystery, but is best known for his series of 38 ‘Executioner’ novels, starring Mack Bolan. Launched in 1969 with War Against the Mafia, the series led to the emergence of a new genre of ‘action/adventure’ writing in the 1970s, especially popular in North America. He also published under the names of Dan Britain and Stephan Gregory. |
