| Advertizing executive, born in Grants Pass, Oregon, USA. He worked in the Los Angeles branch of the advertizing agency Lord and Thomas (1923–42) which, with Emerson Foote and Fax Cone, he took over and renamed Foote, Cone and Belding (1942). He retired as chairman of this major international advertizing agency in 1957. |
