| Film actress and director, born in Los Angeles, California, USA. She played opposite Woody Allen in the Broadway production of Play It Again, Sam (1969), then went on to star in several of his films, such as Annie Hall (1977, Oscar) Manhattan (1979), and Manhattan Murder Mystery (1993). Other films include The Godfather (1972), Reds (1981), Baby Boom (1987), First Wives Club (1996), Marvin's Room (1996, Oscar nomination), and The Other Sister (1999). Her first major film as a director was Unstrung Heroes (1995), and she directed and acted in Hanging Up (2000). |
