| Neurologist, born in Christchurch, New Zealand. He trained at the University of New Zealand and at Oxford, where he worked with Charles Sherrington. After clinical work in London, he went to Harvard in 1941, where he remained. He was particularly interested in the diseases of the basal ganglia and of the muscles. |
