| biography:
| Ballerina, born in Derby, Derbyshire, C England, UK. She trained at the Royal Ballet School, and in Monte Carlo with Marika Besobrasova. In 1981 she joined the Royal Ballet (principal dancer from 1992), and retired in 2001. Her repertoire ranged from classical ballet to contemporary choreography, and she has appeared in the television shows Dance Night (1998) and Travels With My Tutu (2000). In 2001 she was appointed artistic director of the Linbury Studio Theatre and Clore Studio Upstairs at the Royal Opera House. |
