He studied at the Hans Hofmann School in New York, and became best known as an illustrator for the New York Review of Books, New York Magazine and Esquire. Considered the most influential caricaturist after Al Hirschfeld, he worked in pen and ink and watercolour, and produced revealing portraits of public figures. |
