| Writer, born in New York City, USA. She studied in New York and at the Lycée Français in Paris, then enrolled at the Parsons School of Design in New York, later working in public relations and advertising. A best-selling writer of romantic fiction, she achieved success with her fourth novel, The Promise (1978), and now has over 125 million books in print worldwide. She has also published several works of non-fiction, including Having a Baby (1984) and His Bright Light (1998), as well as a book of poetry, Love: Poems (1981), and the Max and Martha series of children's books (1989). |
