| Actress, born in Birmingham, Alabama, USA. She studied architecture for a year at Mount Vernon College, became a model in New York City, then took a range of parts in films and television, and became well known through her role as Monica Geller in the acclaimed television series Friends (1994– ). Roles in feature films began with Down Twisted (1986), and include Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994), Scream and its sequel (1996, 1998), and Commandments (1997). She married actor David Arquette in 1999. |
