| Poet, born in Sidmonton, Hampshire, S England, UK. In 1684 she married Heneage Finch, who became Earl of Winchilsea in 1712. Her longest poem, a Pindaric ode called ‘The Spleen’, was printed in 1701, and her Miscellany Poems appeared in 1713. She was a friend of Pope. |
