| British broadcaster. She studied at Leicester University, then joined Capital Radio as a producer and presenter (1974–6). She moved to the BBC, working on a wide range of radio documentaries and topical features, then took up a role as a reporter and presenter on BBC television's Nationwide (1979–83). She became well known for her later television work, including Breakfast Time, Holiday, and Crimewatch UK, while also working with several charities to do with children, animals, and the elderly. |
