| Poet, born in Dublin, Ireland. He studied at Trinity College, Dublin, and is remembered for his poem ‘The Burial of Sir John Moore’, which appeared anonymously in 1817 and at once caught the admiration of the public. He was ordained in 1817, and became rector of Donoughmore. |
