| Actor, born in Rennes, NW France. His first film appearance was in 1912, and throughout his long career he had many varied film roles. In 1953 he was awarded the best actor prize at Cannes for Le Salaire de la Peur (director H G Clouzot). He is considered one of the great all-time French actors. |
