| Sculptor and teacher, born in Wolow, SWC Poland. During World War 1 he and his family fled to Budapest (c.1914), and he then emigrated to New York City (1921), where he studied at the Educational Alliance Art School (1921) and the Beaux-Arts (1922–6). He taught at many institutions, and was known for his wood and stone Expressionistic figures, such as ‘Strong Woman’ (1935). |
