| Catalan architect, born in Barcelona, NE Spain. He sculpted the famous monument to Columbus which stands at the beginning of Las Ramblas on the Barcelona waterfront, intended to inaugurate the opening of the maritime section of the 1888 exhibition. During 1903–14 he lived and worked in Argentina and Uruguay, where he received several awards. |
