| biography:
| Queen consort of England, the wife of Henry V, and the youngest daughter of Charles VI (‘the Foolish’) of France. After a stormy courtship, when England and France went to war over Henry's dowry demands, she married Henry at Troyes in 1420. In 1421 she gave birth to a son, the future Henry VI. After Henry's death in France in 1422, she secretly married Owen Tudor, a Welsh squire, despite parliamentary opposition; their eldest son, Edmund, Earl of Richmond, was the father of Henry VII. |
