| Princess of Orange Nassau, born in Kirchheim-Bolanden, Germany, the daughter of Stadtholder William IV and Anne of Hanover. She married in 1760 Charles Christian, Prince of Nassau-Weilburg (Walram line), who was a general in the States' service, and governor of Maastricht. She was used by regents and others to try to obtain the guardianship of William V in place of the Duke of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel, but their attempts were unsuccessful. She bore twelve children. |
