| Writer, born in Palermo, Sicily, S Italy. An expert on Spanish literature, his works include La letteratura spagnola dal Cid ai re cattolici (1972). He was a latecomer to novel writing with Fratelli (1978, Brothers), about the relationship with a mentally ill brother and the new languages invented to communicate with him. Later works include Il custode (1983). |
