| biography:
| Social anthroplogist, born in Puebla de Alfindén, Zaragoza, NEC Spain. He studied humanities at the University of Zaragoza and was awarded the Premio Extraordinario for his thesis Estudio etnológico de Chiprana. He obtained a doctorate in anthropology at the University of Oxford, and another from the Universidad Complutense and the Premio Extraordinario Nacional, and went on to teach at the universities of Sussex, Campinhas, Santiago de Chile, and Gaineswille (Florida). He has also been a scholar at Exeter College, visiting fellow at St Antony's (Oxford), Maître de Conference at the Sorbonne, and visiting professor at Manchester University. |
