| Writer, born in Como, Lombardy, N Italy. He was a contributor to the literary reviews La Voce and La Ronda, and wrote in the traditional Lombard tradition initiated by Manzoni, producing Portovenere (1910), I doni della terra (1915), Due (1928), and Cantalupa (1935). He was an expert on American literature which he helped to introduce into Italy, as in Scrittori angloamericani d'oggi (1932). |
