| Painter, born in Venice, NE Italy, the son of Antonio Vivarini. He was possibly a pupil of both his father and his uncle, Bartolommeo. Influenced by Antonello da Messina and Bellini, his works include portrait busts and altarpieces, especially a ‘Madonna and Six Saints’ (1480) in the Academy, Venice. |
