| Sculptor, born in Quincy, Massachusetts, USA. Best known for his minimalist sculptures of the 1960s, such as ‘Equivalents’, his initial experiments with wood-cutting were inspired by Constantine Brancusi. A job on the Pennsylvania Railroad in the 1960s led to experimentation with mass-produced materials. An interest in mathematics and the philosopher Laozi are evident in his work. |
