| biography:
| Composer for film and television, born in Brighton, Victoria, SE Australia. His work for major feature films is internationally recognized, and has won many awards; titles include Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975) and The Chant of Jimmie Blacksmith (1978). For television he composed the music for A Town Like Alice (1981) and Naked under Capricorn (1988). Other works include a cello concerto, music for brass, chamber music, and a ballet. |
