| Jockey and trainer, born in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, SE Australia. A successful rider for over 20 years before coming to Britain in 1950, he was retained to ride for the stable of Sir Gordon Richards in 1956. He was champion jockey in 1957, 1961, 1962, and 1963. He retired in 1968, and became a trainer. |
