| Fashion designer, born in Backup, Lancashire, NW England, UK. She studied at the Birmingham College of Art, and became a freelance fashion illustrator (1971–3), design assistant (1973–5), and chief designer with Quorum (1975–81). In 1985 she was British Designer of the Year, and the same year won the British Fashion Council award. She is design director of Betty Jackson Ltd. |
