| Poet, born in Stockholm, Sweden. He was considered one of the most significant Swedish poets of the 20th-c. Much influenced by the French Symbolists, he published his first book of poetry, Sent på jorden (trans Late Arrival on Earth), in 1932. En Mölna-elegi (1960, A Mölna Elegy) was translated into English, as were his Selected poems (1966) and Guide to the Underworld (1967). |
