| Painter, born in Barrow, Suffolk, E England, UK. She became a portrait painter and a devoted follower of the most celebrated portraitist of her day, Sir Peter Lely. Very little is known of her work before c.1670, but several of her husband's diaries record her painting commissions, which include several portraits of clerics. |
