| biography:
| Advertizing executive, born in New Haven, Connecticut, USA. He worked in advertizing agencies after graduating from Yale, then founded his own New York agency (1940). The agency grew into the fifth largest in the world through pioneering television advertizing in the 1950s and by creating aggressive campaigns for major consumer product manufacturers, such as Colgate-Palmolive. He created Anacin's headache hammers and the Wonder Bread slogan, ‘Builds Strong Bodies 12 Ways’. |
