| biography:
| Catalan poet, born in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. A pupil of Gabriel Alomar at Barcelona University, he was already familiar with Latin, English, French, and Italian at the time of his early death from tuberculosis. His melancholy lyrics in Catalan were collected in Obra lirica (1949) from Nou poemes (1933), Quadern de sonets (1934), and the posthumously published Imitació del foc (1938). |
