| Chemist, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. He studied at Dartmouth College and Stanford University (1968 PhD), later joining the Scripps Research Institute at La Jolla, CA. He shared the 2001 Nobel Prize for Chemistry for work on chirally catalysed hydrogenation reactions. |
