| Athlete, born in Sydney, New South Wales, SE Australia. A swimming champion at 13, two years later he played rugby union for his state. At the age of 18 he won the Australian middleweight and heavyweight boxing titles in one night. At Sydney University he gained blues for cricket, rugby, rowing, and athletics. It was claimed that in his career he played at least 26 sports. He later moved to Hollywood, where he starred in a number of movies, and taught horsemanship to film stars. |
