| Sculptor, born in Florence, NC Italy. A rival of Michelangelo, he executed the statues of ‘Hercules and Cacus’ outside the Palazzo Vecchio, and ‘Adam and Eve’ (National Museum, Florence). His best works are the bas-reliefs in Florence Cathedral. |
