| Physician and writer, born in Oskarshamn, SE Sweden. He studied at Uppsala, Montpellier, and Paris, practised as a physician and psychiatrist in Paris and Rome, and became Swedish court physician. He then retired to Capri, where he wrote his best-selling autobiography, The Story of San Michele (1929). |
