| Poet, born in San Lazzaro, Emilia-Romagna, N Italy, the father of film director Bernardo Bertolucci. He was noted for his melancholic and meditative tone, reminscent of crepuscolarismo, although his language was influenced by hermetism. His main themes are the remembrance of times and places that one has loved, and the hope of happiness to come. Among his works are Sirio (1929), Fuochi in novembre (1934), Viaggio d'inverno (1971), and the novel in verse La camera da letto (1984, 1989). |
