| Poet, born in Denbigh, Denbighshire, NC Wales, UK. He studied at Oxford, became a teacher, and edited the first anthology of Anglo-Welsh poetry, Welsh Poets (1917). He published six volumes of his own, including Poems of Wales (1923), High Heritage (1969), and Valedictory Verses (1978). The doyen of Anglo-Welsh writers, he was president of the Welsh Academy from 1970 until his death. |
