| Painter and writer, born in Rignano sull'Arno, Tuscany, NC Italy. He contributed to the review La Voce and in 1913 founded the Futurist review Lacerba. He then supported a return to classic figurative tradition, as seen in ‘Donne toscane’ (1924, Florence Modern Art Gallery). He also wrote Futurist poetry, Chimismi lirici (1915), but was at his best with autobiographical and critical pieces, such as Giornale di bordo (1915) and Ricordi di vita artistica e letteraria (1931), and art criticism Estetica futurista (1920). |
