| Designer, born in the Isle of Man, UK. He studied at Douglas School of Art, and worked part-time in an architectural office. In 1899 he designed silverwork and metalwork for Liberty & Co. By 1900 he was their main designer and the inspiration behind the Celtic revival. Apart from the Cymric (silver) and Tudric (pewter) ranges, he designed carpets, textiles, jewellery, and pottery, as well as teaching for Liberty's. |
