| Goldsmith, medallist, metal-caster, and painter, born in Florence, NC Italy. He cast sepulchral monuments in St Peter's in Rome for Popes Sixtus IV and Innocent VIII. One of the first painters to study anatomy and apply it to his art, he was skilled in suggesting movement. His brother Piero (1443–96) was associated with him in his work. |
