| biography:
| Painter and sculptor, born in Tarragona, NE Spain. He devoted much of his time to teaching, and held a professorship at the Escola de Belles Arts in Barcelona. Among many distinguished prizes was the gold medal at the Exposición de Belles Artes in Paris. After a period during which he showed a predilection for biblical and historical subjects, he specialized in sculpting small figures strongly influenced by Marià Benlliure. |
