| The only daughter of Maximilian of Egmont, Count of Buren, born in Grave, E Netherlands. She married William I (the Silent) of Orange in 1551, bringing Buren lands into the Orange holdings. She was the mother of Philip William, Prince of Orange, who was sent to Spain by Alva as a hostage. |
