| Queen of the Netherlands, born in St Petersburg, Russia, the daughter of Tsar Paul I, Grand-Duchess of Russia (Romanov), and sister of Alexander I and Nicholas I. She married King William II of The Netherlands and became Queen of The Netherlands (1840–9). She had four sons (including King William III of The Netherlands) and one daughter.
