| Art dealer, born in Frankfurt, Germany. He studied in The Netherlands, emigrated to the USA (1940), and studied at Oberlin (1944 BA). He was a writer and editor for Time-Life International (in New York City) (1944–53) and Réalities (Paris) (1944–53). He founded the André Emmerich Gallery (1954), specializing in contemporary art and classical antiquities. |
