| Fashion designer, born in Pau, SW France. He studied civil engineering, but later turned to fashion in Paris, where he was trained by Balenciaga, and opened his own house in 1961. Famous for stark, futuristic, ‘Space Age’ designs, he has featured trouser suits, white boots, and short skirts. He produces ready-to-wear as well as couture clothes. |
