| Actress, born in Madrid, Spain. Daughter of the actor Rafael Rivelles and actress María Fernanda Ladrón de Guevara, she made her debut in her mother's theatrical company at the age of 13. She was later to make her first appearance on screen in the film Mari Juana (1940, director Armando Vidal). After acting in several Mexican television series, stage plays and films she returned to Spain as a national and Latin-American myth. Among her films are El clavo (1944, director Rafael Gil), Fuenteovjeuna (1947, director Antonio Román), Mister Arkadin (1955, director Orson Welles), La Coquito (1977, director Pedro Masó), Esquilache (1988, director Josefina Molina), and Mar de luna (1994, director Manuel Matji). |
