| biography:
| Spanish historian, a member of a leading Jewish converso family. He was attributed by Amador de los Ríos with the Crónica de don Álvaro de Luna (1546), written between 1455 and 1460 and attributed by Nicolás Antonio to Antonio Castellanos, and by A D Deyermond to Gonzalo Chacón (d.1517). Álvar García may have been responsible for the compilation of the collective Crónica de Juan II. |
