| Composer and musician, born in Turin, NW Italy. He studied piano at the Paris Conservatoire and first came to notice as a composer in 1908. His work was varied but mainly Neoclassical in character, and includes three operas, two symphonies, and concertos for cello, violin, and organ, as well as chamber music, many piano pieces, and songs. He also produced some noteworthy editions of classical composers. |
